The Myth of “Rising Above”
My hope for humanity?
That we remember who we are. That we start to listen. To ourselves and each other.
That we learn to meditate, be present, be still, and soften into our authentic selves.
That we learn to connect with our precious inner children (the part of us we’ve disowned through fear and shame…and just not knowing how to meet ourselves).
That we get courageous enough to face and digest our deepest traumas, meet our anger, fear and doubt, and not bypass it all by saying, “it’s all an illusion ,” or “it’s all the separate self,” or “I am pure Awareness.”
We become violent when we disown the violence within ourselves.
This seems to be a universal spiritual law.
