Mindful Eating

You know how you want to eat and what is best for your body, but sometimes there is a disconnect between what you know and what you put in your mouth. Through the practice of meditation, learn that compulsion and awareness cannot co-exist. The more you become aware of what you do with food and why you do it, the more you can empower yourself to control your choices. Develop your awareness by eating a mindful meal at the beginning of each class, identify different types of hunger and learn to disengage from your internal critic to compassionately appreciate your feelings when you eat mindfully. | |
Please read: Please wear comfortable clothing. Bring what you would like for your meal, a yoga mat or cushion to sit on and a journal to write in. There will be a microwave for heating food if needed. There will be no class on Tuesday Feb 16, 2016. | |
